Impact of people stress
After three days of hard work before the holidays.
I was confused and frustrated ... and also socially tired. I complained more than usual.
My impact was lower than usual, people behaved more like they needed to manage my stress. Didn’t get the answers I needed.
Give myself space, and grace, when trying to solve a problem. Try not to escalate it with others until I know what I need. (I did solve it)

Grabbing the tools we know
When recommending a new tool
People want to know why we can’t just use our current tool
I spend more time focused on “why this tool isn’t that tool” than moving into the actual challenge
Remember to build a bridge between “how we do things now” and new ideas?

When the site goes down
An outage that generated a P1
We responded in the usual way but the issue has recurred (with different symptoms) multiple times before
We give the impression that we can fix problems (and that they are “technology” problems”
